In early January there was a very welcome but completely unexpected announcement - I was named Instrumentalist of the Year by UK folk magazine FATEA, in their awards for best of 2023. Whoop! it makes me feel very honoured, and genuinely touched, and ultimately it’s fantastic to have such a strong note of support - so thank you FATEA, and all who sail with you! Very much appreciated :-)
